Job Description
We are seeking skilled Davenport Machinists to join our team with openings available on both 1st and 2nd shifts. You will have the opportunity to work a 4x10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, with the option for additional hours on Friday and Saturday. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating two machines in a fast-paced environment, working independently with minimal supervision.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate two Davenport machines efficiently and independently.Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining processes.Inspect parts to meet aerospace standards and specifications.Position and secure specified cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements at each station.Position and secure tools in tool holders, set cutting speeds and feed rates.Move controls to cycle machines through settings, stopping machines and adjusting tool positions and machine controls for optimal operation.Perform routine maintenance to ensure machine performance and longevity.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years' experience setting up and maintaining two machines.Proficiency in Davenport and CNC Swiss Screw machining.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Strong inspection skills, particularly in the aerospace sector.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving skills to adjust machine settings as necessary.Commitment to quality and precision in machining processes.Work Environment
You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, following a 4x10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 AM to 4 PM or 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM.
