Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to further develop and optimize a robust data warehouse environment running on SAP BW/4HANA. This role is critical for enabling advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP technologies, data modeling, and modern data architecture principles.

The incumbent will be a member of the Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance Program (EDSG) and support all data warehouse topics in our various data and analytics initiatives. The EDSG Program is one of the enterprise priorities for 2026 onwards and the scope includes Data Warehouse pipeline setup and extraction, data cleansing and data source corrections, master data management, and analytics projects. The candidate needs to have excellent communications skills and a strong desire to deliver results while managing the metadata environment in a disciplined manner. This role report to the IT Director for EDSG Program.

Responsibilities:

Further develop and optimize the overall data warehouse architecture for BW/4HANA, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Develop data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) aligned with business requirements and data warehouse best practices.

Design and manage data integration strategies between BW/4HANA and ERP, CX and other enterprise systems.

Orchestrate ETL processes using SAP tools (e.g., SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Data Services) and ensure data quality and consistency.

Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance, including query tuning and storage management.

Implement best practices for HANA-specific optimizations.

Establish data governance frameworks, including metadata management and data lineage.

Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulatory requirements.

Keep stakeholders informed periodically about the status of the data warehouse, progress of initiatives and quality of data and metadata.

Report any challenges and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the established process for escalation.

Work closely with business stakeholders, BI developers, and SAP functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.

Requirements:

To be successful in this position, you will either hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 5+ years of work experience in data warehouse architecture and design in fields such as Logistics, Supply Chain, Materials, Finance, IT, Data or Industrial Manufacturing environments where you attained:

Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and HANA database technologies.

Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration tools.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid architectures is a plus.

Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud or other BI tools

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data security best practices.

Understanding of modern data architectures (e.g., Data Lake, Data Mesh).

Excellent problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills combined with solid oral and written communication skills required (in English). Other languages are a plus.

Smartsheet and/or other Project Management tools

Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization and possess the ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment.

Work experience in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

Certification Like CDMP Professional or tool specific certifications are a plus.

Candidate must be willing to travel, when required, up to 15-20% domestic and/or international travel to any of the world-wide Flowserve sites.
