**Who we are** We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer with a specialized focus on RDS and Kafka, familiar with Azure and AWS cloud environments. **What you’ll be doing** + Design, develop, and maintain database systems using Kafka MSK to ensure reliable data streaming and processing + Integrate Azure Events Hub to facilitate real-time event streaming and data analytics + Manage RDS databases to support high availability, security, and performance + Administer and optimize Oracle databases to ensure data integrity and efficient transaction processing + Implement Azure OCR solutions to automate document recognition and data extraction processes + Tools & Technologies used: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Grafana, Python, SQL and PL/SQL, Kubernetes (Amazon EKS), Amazon EC2, RDS, ERWIN, Visual Studio Code, GIT, Jira, Azure Synapse **What you'll bring along** + Minumum 3-5 years of experience in Kafka and its MSK implementation for data streaming + Proficiency in using Azure Events Hub for event-driven architectures (ideally experience working with ADP platform) currently already a product on Azure which is planned to be developed further in future) + Programming Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Python (intermediate / advanced level) + Code versioning: Git / GitHub Actions (Workflows) for CI/CD + Understanding data warehouse modeling and architectures + Basic understanding of AWS and application containerization + Preferably to have a basic understanding of Kafka (currently AWS, in future Azure Event Hub) and data streaming + Hands-on experience with building complex SQL queries and creating ETL loads + Deep understanding of the administration and management of RDS services + Expertise in Oracle database development and management, familiar with Oracle, PostgreSQL + Knowledge of Azure OCR and its integration capabilities in data processing workflows + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams + Experience with cloud platforms and the integration of various services to build scalable solutions + Knowledge of data governance and security best practices + Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes + English upper intermediate language skills + RDS (new instances are created for new customers) + Oracle: the target platform for the DB part in future is OCI + Agile development, technical design & specifications, User Story & Task writing + Basic knowledge of insurance/asset management/services processes and related data/contents + Ability to deliver high-quality results under time-constraints and concurrent tasks.
