Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced **Database Administrator (DBA)** to join their dynamic team. As a **Database Administrator (DBA)** , you will be an integral part of the IT department supporting the database infrastructure that ensures seamless data operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Database Administrator (DBA)
**Location:** Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)
**Position type: 12 months with high possibility of extension/Conversion**
**What's the Job?**
+ Manage and maintain SQL Server database environments to optimize performance, availability, and security.
+ Analyze and optimize query performance through deep understanding of SQL Server internals and execution plans.
+ Implement and manage indexing strategies, including clustered, non-clustered, filtered, and columnstore indexes.
+ Update, create, and manage database statistics to improve query planning and accuracy.
+ Tune workloads for high concurrency, diagnose blocking and deadlocks, and ensure smooth transaction processing.
**What's Needed?**
+ Extensive experience with SQL Server processing, memory management, and I/O handling.
+ Strong knowledge of query optimization, indexing strategies, and statistics management.
+ Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving concurrency issues, including locking and deadlocks.
+ Experience with SQL Server replication technologies such as AlwaysON.
+ Ability to analyze and resolve query performance issues related to version changes and workload tuning.
