CACI is currently seeking a PostgreSQL DBA with strong ETL and AWS Experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals utilizing ASF best for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As a member of the BEAGLE ASF Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP agents and officers are on the front lines every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. You should have worked in PostgreSQL DBA experience, ETL tool to understand concepts and supported RDS in AWS environment.
Responsibilities:
Build ERD, physical and logical data modelsFollow and establish DB standardsUnderstand PostgreSQL architectureUpgrade PostgreSQL DatabasesSupport the Functional Business, Application Development, and Security Technical Teams to provide O&M and Release Management support for landscape componentsIntegrate and support cloud RDS Databases providing high availability backupParticipate in the design activities consistent with enterprise standards and Agency priorities for continuous improvement (e.g.: Robotics Process Automation, Automated Testing, etc.) to deliver value-added solutionsParticipate proof of concept in new technologies.Design, develop and implement approaches for historical data retention and archival storage backup and recovery solutionsWork in a collaborative team environment with other operational (e.g. OS, DBA, network, security, etc.) team members to troubleshoot and optimize performanceWrite triggers and functions to support ETLMigrate data across heterogenous Databases.Work on AWS services specifically AWS DMS, RDS, Lambda , S3Work on performance insight AWS service.Work with Informatica ETL toolQualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:3-year check for felony convictions1-year check for illegal drug use1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraudCollege degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree7-10 years of technical experienceA minimum of 5 years of experience as Database Administrator and Developer in PostgreSQL and Oracle environmentA minimum of 2 years of AWS DMS service experience Must be familiar with RDS upgradesMust have worked on AWS performance insightStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide expertise to support application teamStrong written communication skills to document implemented solutions or workaroundsGood understanding of physical and logical data modellingCapable of working in a team environment and collaborating with other teams like platform support, developers, production support etc.Experience utilizing performance monitoring tools to work with application developers to identify and correct inefficient database operationsDatabase Migration experience strongly preferred, especially Oracle to PostgreSQLAWS RDS experience especially AuroraExperience working with AWS services such as S3 AND LambdaStrong programming background for writing triggers, functions and procedures.Must be available for Production on-call support.-_________________________________________________________________________

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
