As a Data Taxonomy Senior Associate within the Data Taxonomy team, you will assist with leading the implementation of Reference Data Solutions projects related to product adoption, product enhancements, production fixes, operational releases, data integrity, platform conversions and regulatory reporting.
Job responsibilities
Functions as part of the Product Owner (PO) team and own deliverables from your portfolio of work to analyze requirements, define and prioritize the product backlog, raise clarifications with stakeholders, and create atomic JIRAs for the technology team to deliver based on product vision and synergiesWorks directly with stakeholders, synthesizing requirements and delivering an analysis by asking appropriate questions supported by workflow documents, scenario analysis and wireframes (as needed) partnering with other PO teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, and within budget & scopeAssesses the value of JIRAs per sprint and develop use-case documents, wireframes and provides sample data sheets on JIRAs on a case-by-case basisContributes to sprint planning in line with expected project timelinesContributes to the definition & maintenance of JIRA best practices to be enforced across PO & technology teamGrows into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can provide clear direction and vision to technology partners, testing teams and stakeholders throughout the Agile Development Lifecycle with a focus on reusable components & advancing product strategyActively engages in solution design by leveraging OOTB system functionality in addition to collaborating with technology partners & architects to create scalable and standardizable functionalityTracks defects, performs root cause analysis and identifies the means to resolve defects and support the end-to-end user acceptance testing processConducts significant data mining and data analysis to support recommendations on necessary action itemsDevelops, tracks, analyzes, and publishes project reports, project summaries, scorecards and program/project performance trendsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Demonstrate strong business Product Owner experienceIndependently lead and progress initiatives to completion and manage risks/issuesHands-on end-to-end Agile relevant project management experienceMust have experience writing business requirements and grooming user stories with technology partnersWorking knowledge of testing tools, Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, v-lookups) and PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft ProjectPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with Agile coaching / portfolio managementExperience working in reference data/master data management platformsHands on experience with advanced analytics automation solutions (example: Alteryx) and SQL query toolsUnderstanding of instrument reference data – Equity, Rates, Credit, Mortgages, Public Finance and Exchange Traded Derivatives
