Job Description:

The Data Steward I provides data governance expertise, business leadership, and leads on day- to-day data governance and activities. Appointed as a Data Steward for their business, providing oversight and challenge for data-related activities. May also play a role in supporting the data strategy of the Business.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Standard Business Hours EST

Depth & Scope:

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate 7+ years relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge of data governance/data management practices, enterprise data policy, standards &strategyAdvanced knowledge of M&A due diligence process, LOB data strategy, data risk management, and data life cycle managementKnowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trendsSkill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques Skill in mentoring/coaching othersSkill in using computer applications including MS Office  Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formAbility to work collaboratively and build relationshipsAbility to work successfully as a member of a team and independentlyAbility to exercise sound judgement in making decisionsAbility to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinesAbility to handle confidential information with discretionAbility to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership
