As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk, as a part of the Data Platform team, you will play a crucial role in advancing the firm's core data strategy. Your responsibilities will include working with state-of-the-art platforms and ensuring their smooth integration into the operations of a leading global bank. Additionally, you will apply essential SRE principles across diverse technologies such as Big Data, AWS, and CI/CD to improve reliability and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs across multiple data platforms.Troubleshoot issues arising from data loads.Interact with upstream and downstream data systems.Engage with development teams throughout the lifecycle to troubleshoot issues in production and non-production environments.Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems, and ensure permanent closure of incidents.Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to fix production issues.Work on builds and pipelines to deploy applications.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experienceDemonstrated ability to work independently with strong ownership, collaboration, and communication skills.Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.Hands-on AWS experience or cloud certifications.Experience deploying and supporting micros services and cloud-based applications.Experience with continuous integration/development toolkits like GIT/Subversion/Jenkins/Sonar.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Intermediate understanding in at least one technology stack or programming language (Java/Python/Scala).Experience maintaining a cloud-based infrastructure.Familiarity with site reliability concepts, principles, and practices.
