Department Summary:
Join the “Data Engineering and Environments Department (L146)” in MITRE Labs and build secure, scalable data foundations and solutions across the federal government. Our mission-focused data capabilities include modernizing data ecosystems, enabling secure data access and interoperability, and engineering resilient computing environments. Our team delivers impactful solutions that strengthen national defense and civilian missions, from joint warfighting and cyber defense to public safety and transportation. We turn complex data environments into decisive advantage.
We are seeking a mission-driven and technically accomplished Data Solution Engineer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise and tactical data solutions across multi-domain, mission-critical environments.
This role blends strategic vision with hands-on engineering expertise, supporting initiatives that require secure data sharing, resilient interoperability, and real-time decision-making across global, joint, and coalition operations.
You will operate in high-tempo environments where trusted data fuels coordination across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains, including C2 platforms like C2BMC, to support synchronized effects, adaptive targeting, and strategic deterrence in both peacetime and conflict.
You are a strategic architect and mission integrator who understands the operational urgency behind data. You design systems that support tempo, resilience, and cross-domain coordination, and anticipate technical, operational, and policy constraints.
You thrive in environments where architecture isn’t theoretical—it directly enables mission outcomes. Your work powers decisions, synchronizes effects, and strengthens national defense.
Roles & Responsibilities:
