Data Security Analyst Job ID 256684 Posted 21-Jan-2026 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Digital & Technology/Information Technology Location(s) Makati City - National Capital Region - Philippines **About the Role:** As a Data Security Analyst within CBRE’s Global Data Protection team, you will support the organization’s efforts to safeguard sensitive and confidential information. Reporting to the Lead of Data Security Operations, you will help monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, identify risks, and ensure adherence to data protection policies across the company. This role requires ongoing vigilance against potential threats, close collaboration with cybersecurity and engineering teams, and active participation in strengthening CBRE’s data loss prevention (DLP) strategies. **What You’ll Do:** + Monitor and Analyze Security Incidents. Identify, triage, contain, and remediate potential data loss events and insider threats using tools such as Proofpoint, Exabeam, and Varonis. + Conduct Investigations. Support investigative activities using forensic methodologies, formal chain‑of‑custody procedures, and industry best practices. + Detect Emerging Threats. Review security logs, user activity, and behavioral patterns to identify anomalies and risks across cloud, email, and endpoint environments. + Ensure Policy Compliance. Validate adherence to data protection controls and regulatory requirements such as GDPR and CCPA. + Collaborate Across Teams. Partner with IT, Legal, HR, and Compliance teams to escalate and resolve incidents within expected timelines. + Drive Program Enhancements. Work with senior analysts and leadership to refine data protection policies, processes, and controls. Help identify and mitigate business process gaps contributing to data loss risks. + Provide Reporting & On‑Call Support. Prepare incident trend reports and participate in the required on‑call rotation for high‑priority security events. **What You’ll Need:** + Minimum of 2+ years in Data Loss Prevention, incident response, or cybersecurity, including hands‑on experience with alert triage and investigations using DLP, CASB, UEBA, and endpoint protection tools (e.g., Proofpoint, Torq, Exabeam, Varonis). + Strong understanding of DLP technologies, data security principles, GDPR, CCPA, current threat trends, and incident response methodologies. + Knowledge of digital forensics practices is highly desirable. + Proficiency with UEBA (Exabeam), email security/DLP (Proofpoint), data governance platforms (Varonis), and SOAR technologies (Torq).
