Your new role

We are hiring a Data Scientist (maternity cover) for the IT & Digitalisation team at site Hjørring. This fixed-term position starts in April and runs for 1 year. 

 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with lines of business to simplify workflows and enable data-driven decisions across the site. You will work with a broad range of stakeholders—from operators and team leads to central IT teams—and be part of a small, capable team of data engineers.

 

Key responsibilities:

Design, develop, deploy and optimize data-driven applications and solutions (including Power Platform) to improve site efficiency. Build and maintain automated, high-quality data pipelines using Alteryx, DataBricks, including SQL-based data processing and transformation logic. Participate in project work to design and document end-to-end data flow maps, ensur-ing clear lineage and handoffs between systems and stakeholders. Drive continuous improvements to increase data quality, reliability, and availability. Contribute to the site’s digital agenda and collaborate with colleagues to deliver scala-ble, user-focused solutions. Communicate insights and visualizations to non-technical stakeholders to support de-cision-making.

Your skills and qualifications

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and translating business needs into data solutions. Hands-on experience with SQL, Power Platform and Alteryx, is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a big-picture perspective. Curious, proactive, and a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and eager-ness to learn. Fluent in written and spoken English.
