Data Quality Specialist
**About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 07 **The Team:** Our team is responsible for auditing the work done by the Big Dough (BD) Research Operations Team. The Research Operations (RO) team profiles firms involved in public investments, along with their contacts and funds. We audit the work done by the BD team daily and assign errors if we find any. **The Impact:** As a Quality team, we serve as the last point of check to ensure data is updated correctly in our database before it is visible in our products. We identify errors made by researchers and alert them to correct these mistakes before they are noticed by clients. **What’s in it for you:** + Get a great opportunity to review Investment firms profiled across the globe and understand their investment style. + Review investment firms, contact, and fund records profiled across all regions globally. + Exposure to all the MI data. + Enhance existing guidelines by providing suggestions that, if approved, will be implemented to ensure client satisfaction. + Gain exposure to all teams across MI Data. **Responsibilities:** + Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data through audits adhering to quality standards set for all the workflows. + Analyse, question, and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures. + Identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring data quality objectives are met. + Work with the data research team to train and correct quality errors. + Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality. + Develop and execute data cleanup measures. + Determine root causes for data quality errors. + Assess business impact levels for data quality issues and make recommendations for long-term solutions. + Research and determine the scope and complexity of issues to identify steps for resolution. + Identify areas for improvement to achieve data quality. + Be proactive in team meetings, mentorship roles, and knowledge sharing. **What we’re looking for:** **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance/Commerce. + Knowledge of all processes/workflows in the BD Operations Team. + Excellent communication and analytical skills (ability to communicate with clients via phone/email). + Positive attitude with qualities of a team player. + Problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box. + Ability to take ownership and execute tasks independently. + Willing to work in rotational shift including night shift. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of Capital Markets and Investment Management Firms. + Familiarity with Excel and SQL. + Experience in conducting web research to extract information from government-affiliated sources or firm websites.
