Data Quality Engineer - Banking Domain
CTG is seeking a Data Quality Engineer with expertise in testing data-intensive applications, including ETL processes, Big Data environments, and banking-specific systems such as BAO, MDM, and data migrations. The ideal candidate ensures the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of critical business data through comprehensive testing strategies, leveraging both manual and automated approaches. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute end-to-end data quality testing strategies for ETL processes, data migrations, and Big Data applications. Understand business requirements to develop optimized test scenarios that ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity. Plan and execute testing activities, including effort estimation, test case creation, and identification of test environment and data needs. Utilize manual and automated testing solutions to execute test cases and validate data quality. Report test status, create defects, participate in triage meetings, and follow through on defect resolution. Analyze test results and metrics to identify areas for process improvement and enhanced data quality. Collaborate with business, development, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business goals. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of the banking industry and data-intensive applications. Experience with data migration activities, including data collection, extraction, and analysis. Familiarity with test data management and ensuring test data integrity. Hands-on experience with tools and languages: Python, Informatica ETL, SQL. Working knowledge of databases: Teradata, Oracle, MySQL. Analytical mindset with a focus on improving data quality and testing efficiency. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
