Your Impact

The Data Management System (DMS) Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising a high performing team responsible for ensuring that new or existing product is set up correctly and efficiently in the DMS system. This includes ensuring that product is placed in the correct location and that product dimensions, quantity, and tier height requirement are correct in the DMS system. This role is also responsible for resolving any inventory discrepancies, such as product that does not have a defined location in the warehouse. The DMS Supervisor monitors warehouse capacity and repositions product accordingly in the system to enable space for new product. This individual also works with Operations to identify the best possible locations to place product for safe and efficient picking.

Drives compliance with daily safety requirements and builds/sustains a culture of safety among subordinates and peersAssists associates with HR related issues including questions/concerns with attendance, pay, benefits, job changes, voluntary terminations, I-9 verification, unemployment claims, and workplace accommodationsCommunicates clear expectations for associates and provides timely and constructive feedbackMonitors and manages associate performance, ensuring that associates are executing assigned tasks accurately and as scheduledMentors and builds relationships with associates, recording planned encounters when needed, and completing annual reviewsHolds associates in department accountable to expected behaviors and performance levelsMonitors Problem Resolution queue; provides guidance/direction when issues are elevatedCompletes daily location audits for item dimensions, max capacity, location utilization, and Tier Height (TiHi) opportunitiesOrganizes new projects that allow for efficient and safe product picking; works with Operations Manager to acquire labor resources for projectsConducts Quarterly DMS Access Audits, monitoring DMS to ensure items are set up correctly in the systemMonitors building utilization to ensure efficient use of spaceMonitors integrity checks daily to ensure consistent and accurate system dataReviews product packaging and determines re-slotting needs and communicates packaging opportunities to corporateMonitors and guides slotting of product to ensure efficient travel timeDrives resolution of inventory discrepancies when product does not allocate appropriatelyReviews warehouse capacity and assigns associates to move product around to make space for inbounding productVerifies and monitors daily vendor item adds/changes downloads for item integrityFacilitates successful collaboration with Planning team to resolve product allocation issuesCommunicates effectively with associates regarding business objectives or current issuesProvides associates with meaningful developmental opportunities and prepares them for upward promotion if interestedDiscusses and resolves issues with and between associatesParticipates in the hiring process by initiating job requisitions when appropriate and interviewing prospective candidatesEnsures associates receive proper trainingThis position manages/supervises people

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field OR 4 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or related area and

Preferred Skills/Education

Experience in a role that builds knowledge of distribution facility processes, responsibilities, functions, limitations, controls and common problemsLeadership experience with direct report responsibilityExperience mentoring and coaching othersExperience managing multiple projects/tasks simultaneously requiring a strong ability to prioritize and manage timeExperience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problemsExperience with software applications such as Excel, Access or Lowe’s DMS system
