Team Overview:
State Street’s Centralized Modelling Analytics & Operations (CMAO) group, a part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division, is responsible for providing analytics-based services and solutions to business units across SST. Financial Risk Data Governance (FRDG) team within the group, which oversights the data quality for Credit Risk and Global Markets Risk on Corporate level, is looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong technical aptitude to join the group. The individual will be involved in the management of Data Governance and Data Management activities for the technology and risk processes that support day to day BAU risk management activities as well as regulatory programs such as CCAR, FRTB etc.Target Individual:
Prior Experience in Financial Services, preferably within the context of Investment Banking and/or Financial Risk. Prior experiences in regulatory reporting, change management a plusGood knowledge of the Information Technology/ Data Management in Investment Banking with working experience as an engineer, business analyst or project managerHas an appreciation for the value of data in technology systems and the need for governance and controls around data, prior experience in data management preferred Proven hands-on capabilities in managing tasks independently, with a willingness and ability to engage in multiple tasks concurrently and reprioritize effectivelyStrong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills. Ability to effectively develop and manage relationships at all levelsExperience in SQL is required. Additionally, experiences in Business Intelligence/ Reporting Tools (Spotfire, PowerBI, etc..) or with Business /IT controls would be a plus.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the SSBT Data Governance team in Poland managing overall Data Governance prioritiesDrive Data Governance enhancements within the Credit and Market Risk Data domains, managing various components of the Data Governance framework requirements including, but not limited to, data quality reporting, issue management, data cataloguing, data quality checks, and other firmwide data requirementsSubject matter expert on Credit and Market Risk domain applications and functions providing functional expertise within the Data Governance OrganizationOversight of business data quality environmentBusiness SME ownership for certain Credit Risk Domain systemsSupport various projects and initiatives around data lineage and artifacts being identified, stored and maintained in the firms Data Catalogue System (Collibra)Support the implementation of the BCBS239 regulatory compliance requirements within the departmentDevelop processes for ongoing monitoring of data governance compliance requirementsSupport development and maintenance of Data Provider / Consumer Agreements in partnership with data experts in operations and IT to define Key metrics and Critical Data Elements sources, data distribution approach, data quality checks or controls, and communication standards for data processing issues, delays or change management for data source updatesWork with the data stewards across the organization to ensure open ended data issues are addressed and deliver structure and conformance to the standards laid out for the team vis-à-vis materialityCollaborate with business unit data governance teams and data governance platform IT teams to ensure mutual understanding of data governance platform requirementsBecome a product and platform SME on State Street’s Collibra Data Catalog platformEducation/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance preferred with an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering pref. in a Computer Science/ Information Mgmt. related fieldMinimum 7+ years of experience within large financial institutions, with background in data-intensive and/or ops processes.Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines with multiple deliverables.Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel), Business Intelligence tools such as (Spotfire, PowerBI) and proficiency in any major programming language/ SQLKnowledge of Risk Vendor solutions such as Algorithmics, Risk Metrics, Murex or In House Risk Solutions at banks, a big plus.Are you the right candidate? Minimum Salary:
zł282,000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
