Job Overview

The Data/Information Sr Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically, a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

This function covers incumbents responsible for various data activities, which include database administration, data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineeringDay-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processesRole at this level usually has full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverablesMay supervise day-to-day work of junior level employeesAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services, plus 6-10 years of Managerial experience Deep subject matter expertise around Data Governance and/or Data risk, control framework and policy developmentCommunicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levelsPrevious experience working with large volumes of dataExcellent organizational skillsWorking knowledge of the following data topics:Data Lineage tracing from Endpoint to System of RecordData Transformation and CalculationKey Data Element Identification and rationaleData quality rule requirementsExperience working with Wholesale Credit products and data domains such as:Party Metadata and Role linkageCredit Facility hierarchyFinancial Instrument linkageCorporate structure linkageUnderstanding of relational databasesExperience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Business objects, SharePoint / Power queryProject Management Leadership:Stakeholder CommunicationEscalation identificationDelivery tracking

Delivery management: Need someone who can push partners to deliver task items. Follow-up / RAG status

Understanding of Data and how it flows: Understand the difference between a System or Record / Authorized Redistributor / Licensed application

Understanding of what defines data as governed

Ability to identify and solve for roadblocks and when to escalate larger issues before they become an issue.

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
