Our client, in the financial services industry, is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join their team.
**Job Title: Data Governance Analyst**
**Location: 5 days per week in office - downtown Denver or downtown Chicago**
**Pay Range: $59.85/hour W2**
**What’s the Job?**
This role ensures that data used in a major ServiceNow project is accurate, well-documented, compliant, and risk-managed by leading governance processes, validating data requests, and maintaining metadata and lineage.
+ A detail-oriented data governance specialist who ensures data is accurate, documented, compliant, and risk-managed across the enterprise.
+ **Data Governance Expertise** : Knows how to manage and enforce data policies, standards, and compliance.
+ **Metadata Management** : Can maintain data dictionaries, catalogs, lineage, and metadata accurately.
+ **Risk & Compliance Knowledge** : Understands data-related risks and regulatory requirements in financial institutions.
+ **Technical Analysis** : Able to validate data requests and ensure proper use of critical data elements.
+ **Collaboration Skills** : Works well with data owners, architects, engineers, and consumers to document and align data needs.
+ **Tool Proficiency** : Comfortable with metadata tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and ideally JIRA.
+ **Process Design** : Can create clear process flows and diagrams.
+ **Soft Skills** : Highly organized, detail-oriented, strong communicator, and self-driven.
