Data Entry Specialist
Job Description
The Data Entry Specialist serves as a key liaison between the sales team, purchasing department, and external suppliers. This role is responsible for ensuring timely product delivery and providing strategic solutions that support both internal teams and customer needs.
Responsibilities
+ Deliver outstanding support to the sales team by coordinating communication and logistics between sales, purchasing, and suppliers.
+ Facilitate vendor onboarding by preparing and distributing new vendor packets and maintaining tracking logs.
+ Organize and maintain departmental documentation including files, reports, correspondence, and databases.
+ Engage with suppliers daily to obtain shipping updates, including participation in scheduled phone meetings as needed.
+ Update the Expedite Center with accurate due date information on a daily basis.
+ Troubleshoot delivery delays and proactively resolve issues to meet customer deadlines.
+ Present alternative solutions to sales and customers when delivery challenges arise.
+ Provide backup support for switchboard operations as required.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in data entry, administrative support, or purchasing preferred.
Work Environment
The position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility. There is potential for a hybrid work environment after the contract period.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
