Data Entry Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing orders to ensure they are filled or changed for the customer, billing medications to insurance companies and other agencies, and organizing and filing all records. This role involves significant customer service duties, including answering phone calls, retrieving paperwork to address inquiries, resolving issues with facilities and residents or their payees, printing labels, pulling delivery manifests, and communicating both within and outside the department to resolve problems or errors.
Responsibilities
Process orders for customer fulfillment or modifications.Bill medications to insurance companies and other agencies.Organize and file all records accurately.Answer phone calls and retrieve paperwork to address customer inquiries.Resolve issues with facilities, residents, or their payees.Print labels and pull delivery manifests.Communicate within and outside the department to resolve problems or errors.Essential Skills
Pharmacy Technician certification.HIPPA knowledge.Experience in data entry.Strong customer service skills.Experience with prior authorization.Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations.Proficiency in call center operations.Order entry skills.Knowledge of healthcare systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 year of Pharmacy Tech experience.1 year of data entry experience specifically in pharmacy.CPhT certification (preferred).Work Environment
The position is based in an assisted living pharmacy office environment, where the technician will work at a desk/computer 100% of the day. There are no face-to-face customer interactions, providing a relaxed environment with competitive scheduling and pay. Shift and schedule flexibility is available.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $22.00/hr.
