About the role
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Product Owner to join our firm.
Data Product Owner will be responsible for driving the development and optimization of data products that support investment processes, portfolio management, asset manager, and client services. This role involves aligning data strategies with business goals and plays a critical role in bridging business strategies with data-driven solutions. This role is also crucial in aligning our data governance initiatives and data management to deliver maximum value.
What you’ll do
+ Define the purpose and vision for data products tailored to CRE investment needs, aligning them with business objectives and market demands
+ Develop and manage a comprehensive product roadmap to guide data product development
+ Act as a liaison between data scientists, engineers, analysts, and CRE stakeholders to ensure alignment on product goals and priorities.
+ Oversee data quality, governance, and integration to ensure accurate and actionable insights for CRE portfolio management.
+ Establish robust data pipelines and define metadata requirements for consistent reporting and analytics.
+ Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, writing user stories that reflect business impact and feasibility.
+ Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data products in driving CRE investment outcomes
+ Oversee testing processes to ensure data products meet user needs and refine them based on feedback
+ Lead cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements.
What you’ll need
+ Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management
+ Strong understanding of investment management preferably in Commercial Real Estate (CRE)
+ Leadership skills to drive cross-functional teams towards shared objectives.
+ Proficiency in project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum for backlog management.
+ Technical expertise in data analytics tools, data governance systems, and integration preferably with CRE software platforms like Yardi, VTS, CoStar etc.
+ Familiarity with CRE investment products, market trends, and regulatory requirements

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is $107,016 annually [or $51.45 per hour]. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale. This role will provide the following benefits: Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
