Our client is seeking a Data Engineer with a Public Trust to join a federal project. The role will be remote and will start as a 12 month contract plus extensions.

**Role Description:**
The Data Engineer will serve as the data engineering lead supporting Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines to support C2IE deployments. Key responsibilities include:
+ Utilize **Apache NiFi** for data ingestion, transformation, and routing
+ Implement and manage data storage solutions, including **Hadoop, Accumulo, and Elasticsearch**
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions
+ Ensure **data quality, integrity, and security** throughout the data lifecycle
+ Monitor and optimize data workflows to ensure **high performance and reliability**
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to **data integration and processing**
+ Apply **Jolt Transforms** as needed
+ Work with **RESTful APIs** to support data integration
**Technical Skills Required:**
+ **Apache NiFi:** Intermediate (3-5 years)
+ **Data Integration:** Intermediate (3-5 years)
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree
