This role is part of a high-impact data organization focused on enabling smarter decisions through scalable data strategy, governance, and analytics. The team partners across business functions to unlock the value of data assets, ensuring quality, accessibility, and actionable insights. You’ll help shape the future of data-driven decision-making by building robust pipelines, models, and governance frameworks that support enterprise-wide initiatives.
**What you’ll do**
- Apply enterprise data strategy to solve business problems within a single function.
- Identify and validate data sources aligned with business needs and quality standards.
- Build and maintain data pipelines using ETL, APIs, and cloud-based tools.
- Translate business problems into data models and analytical solutions.
- Develop logical and physical data models for warehouses and marts.
- Write and test code in SQL, Python, and other languages to support data solutions.
- Implement data governance practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
**What you’ll bring**
- Experience with data ecosystems, including governance, storage, and scalability.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms like Azure, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Knowledge of data modeling tools and techniques (e.g., ER diagrams, dimensional design).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and data artifacts.
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Background in analytics, automation, or big data environments.
- Strong understanding of data transformation and integration methods.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics, Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
