Position Summary: Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Data Engineer to assess business needs and develop analytic solutions to meet those needs. Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve business problems, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses. Build industry-leading analytics, data, and technology platforms, delivering powerful solutions that inform network strategy and design, improve network performance and provider engagement, develop new provider offerings, and enhance consumer experience. Improve on current statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy. Collaborate with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into highly available, production systems. Guide the analytic team in the development and ongoing support of historical and monthly data quality processes. Work as a member of the analytics team in the develop of studies pursued to assess data quality gaps and strategy. Provide direction in the development of optimization of systems to achieve efficient and highly reliable processes. Design data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers. Behave as a mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice and support. Design and develop complex and large-scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data to generate insights and address reporting needs. Conduct assessments and execute action plans to gaps and strategy. Manage multiple significant initiatives and prioritize efforts according to business needs. Write complex ETL (Extract/ Transform/ Load) processes, design database systems and develop tools for the real-time and offline analytic processing. Develop frameworks, standards and reference materials for architecture and associated products. □Design data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customer. Act as mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice. Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics. Apply knowledge of Aetna systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across multiple domains spanning broader enterprise. Integrate data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards. Use in-depth knowledge on Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands and experience designing and optimizing queries to build scalable, modular, and efficient data pipelines. Telecommuting available. - Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology. Business, Information Systems, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Cl/CD, Jenkins, GIT, and DevOps; Java and Python; Agile methodologies; Web service APls; Oracle; Docker and Kubernetes; JIRA and Confluence; SOL, My SOL and NoSOL; Relational database concepts; Contributing to large-scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects; Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sector; and Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases. Pay Range: $73500.00/year to $150000.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
