 What Matters Most:Competitive Salary of $100,000 – $130,000 per year depending on experience plus additional compensationLocation: Onsite work in Lincoln, NE Direct Hire opportunity with career growth and stability Job Description:We're looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. This role is a key partner to our actuarial and finance teams, supporting risk analysis, trend forecasting, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Databricks and be able to build and validate gold-layer data models, while ensuring data quality and governance. Responsibilities:Architect and Develop Data Pipelines: Design and manage robust, cloud-based data architectures and ETL pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Python, PySpark, and SQL.Data Modeling and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to define data needs, then build and validate gold-layer data models that support business intelligence, risk modeling, and financial forecasting.Ensure Data Quality and Governance: Implement data cleansing techniques and uphold governance standards for data lineage, privacy, and cataloging. Monitor pipeline performance and resolve issues to maintain data quality and consistency.Compliance and Security: Support privacy and compliance protocols when handling PII and financial data, ensuring all solutions meet regulatory standards Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or similar technical roleExposure to financial or insurance environments is preferred.Strong skills in Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL for building and maintaining data solutions.Experience with cloud data platforms, specifically Azure Data Lake Storage.Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Purview) and business intelligence tools like Power BI.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business insights. Benefits and Perks:$100,000–$130,000 per year based on experience and skillsComprehensive Health, Dental, and Life Insurance401(k) with employer match and PTOProfessional development opportunities Your New Organization:
