Our client, a leading technology and infrastructure services provider, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting Datacenter Engineering and Deployment teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Data Center Technician - IT Technical**
**Location: Dallas, TX**
**Type: Contract**
**What’s the Job?**
+ Prepare, stage, install, and perform startup/shutdown procedures for datacenter hardware following detailed instructions and safety protocols.
+ Conduct post‑execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, cabling, labeling, and equipment configuration.
+ Monitor systems for performance issues, respond to error messages, and assist with debugging activities.
+ Troubleshoot hardware issues, replace faulty components, and support routine refresh tasks such as memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.
+ Document work performed, communicate incidents, and escalate issues to Datacenter Technician Leads as required.
**What’s Needed?**
+ High school diploma/GED required; associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred.
+ 1–4 years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and datacenter components.
+ Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
+ Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and flex to non‑standard hours including weekends/holidays.
