**Job Title:** Data Center Technician – I&A Logistics Support 2 **Location:** Boydton, VA 23917 **Shift Options:** **Day Shift A:** 12 hours (Sun–Wed) & (Sun–Tue) and **Day Shift B:** 12 hours (Thu–Sat) & (Wed–Sat) **Duration:** 6 – 18 months Contract **Pay Rate:** $26/hr. – $28/hr. (W2) We are seeking a **Data Center Technician – I&A Logistics Support 2** to support logistics and inventory operations in a high-volume, mission-critical data center environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in warehouse/inventory management, data center workflows, and regulatory compliance practices. You will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, performing audits, and supporting regulatory and safety standards within the data center. **Top 3 Required Skills** for the **Data Center Technician – I&A Logistics Support 2** role: 1. **Inventory Management & Logistics Operations** – 2+ years of hands-on experience with inventory tracking, cycle audits, shipping/receiving, and physical asset movement in IT, data center, or warehouse environments. 2. **Data Center Experience & Compliance** – Proven ability to work in a high-volume data center environment, handling equipment according to compliance and regulatory standards, including DBD (data-bearing device) destruction and audit readiness. 3. **Technical & Software Proficiency** – Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to manage ticketing systems and documentation related to logistics and infrastructure support. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform assigned inventory and logistics tasks independently, escalating issues when necessary. + Coordinate and execute inbound and outbound deliveries, including PO receiving and RMS activities. + Manage physical inventory movement, including staging, shipping, receiving, and DBD (data-bearing device) destruction in accordance with compliance protocols. + Maintain detailed tracking for all equipment using standard procedures. + Perform inventory cycle audits, identify discrepancies, and correct data as needed. + Support regulatory audits and certification control activities. + Monitor system and equipment for errors or failures and assist in resolving software/system issues. + Support testing and debugging new programs in collaboration with programmers and analysts. + Operate spreadsheet tools and software to analyze data and generate reports. **Required Qualifications:** + **High School Diploma** or equivalent required. + **2+ years** of experience in one or more of the following: + Supply chain or warehouse logistics + Data center operations + Inventory or asset management in IT or retail environments + Experience working in a **data center environment** is required. + Proficient in **Microsoft Office applications** (Outlook, Excel, Word). + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently. + If applicable, may lead a small team (5–10 supplier resources). **Preferred Qualifications:** + Associate’s degree in computer Programming or related field. + Familiarity with data center inventory tools, compliance standards, and audit protocols. + Ability to follow runbooks and safety protocols in high-risk environments.
