Data Center Technician

Our client, a leading data center operations organization, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting Mechanical and Electrical Systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, effective communication, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance. Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Escort vendors on site visits and help develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Update and maintain documentation such as CERM documents and logbooks to ensure accurate records of work performed.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or GED required, with 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred. Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols. Strong background in either HVAC or Electrical systems. Ability to read schematics and blueprints effectively. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
