Our client, a global technology and innovation leader in cloud computing, software, and hardware infrastructure, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Field-IT-DCT department supporting Day Shift A operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail and adaptability which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Boydton, VA
Pay Range: $22–$24/hr
What’s the Job?
• Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning
• Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
• Prepare, install, and decommission equipment with guidance from leads
• Perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following procedures
• Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets
What’s Needed?
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours including weekends/holidays
• 0–2 years of experience in a related field
