Key job responsibilities - Coordinate and prioritize operational workflows across data center technician teams - Develop and implement strategic operational procedures to optimize performance and reliability - Mentor and develop technical staff through comprehensive training and professional development - Manage complex project implementations with cross-functional teams - Create comprehensive operational reports and documentation - Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations - Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels - Host weekly staff meetings - Write and deliver performance reviews for staff A day in the life Your day will be a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on technical problem-solving. You'll collaborate with diverse engineering teams, coordinate critical operational tasks, and ensure our data centers run with exceptional efficiency and reliability. From managing technician workflows to implementing operational strategies, every moment will challenge and inspire you to drive technological excellence. About the team AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running.
