Data Center Network Architect (Remote -EST)
Job Description We are seeking a Datacenter & Network Architect/Senior Engineer to support our 24/7 dual‑datacenter environment. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to design resilient architectures, troubleshoot complex Tier 4 issues, and produce clear, actionable operational reporting. As a key member of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will partner with the Enterprise Networking Architect, business and operations teams to define objectives, develop solution recommendations, and lead execution efforts. You will serve as a principal architect/engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing datacenter‑based technology solutions. This role also collaborates closely with peer architects to support the strategic, technical, and administrative oversight of our enterprise infrastructure environment. Key Responsibilities:  • Design and support resilient multi‑site datacenter and network architectures, evaluating risks, RTO/RPO impacts, and technology options  • Monitor and troubleshoot Tier‑3 issues across compute, storage, virtualization, and network platforms (VMware, Veeam, Pure Storage, Dell, Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet)  • Track system performance and operational health, consolidating data into clear reports, dashboards, KPIs, and incident summaries  • Coordinate governance, vendor engagement, and change activities, ensuring adherence to best practices, patching, and lifecycle procedures •Support client workload migrations, asset lifecycle tracking, and capacity planning, contributing to long‑term platform and hardware roadmaps We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining datacenter infrastructure solutions with adherence to industry compliance and best practices and identify policy violations  • Experience supporting 24/7 production operations across active-active data centers  • Strong understanding of HA/DR principles (RTO/RPO, replication, backups)  • Proficiency of Dell Chassis, Meraki, Cisco, and Fortinet network gear, VMWare, Veeam backup, Pure Storage in Active Cluster  • Experience with IBM Power system AS400/LPAR, BRMS, MIMEX, Flash 4 for i, SAN replication  • Ability to capture and analyze network traces and troubleshoot at a Tier 4 level.  • Ability to produce concise documentation, architectural notes, and business case summaries •Experience coordinating with vendors, partners, and cross‑functional teams • Experience in datacenter migration or consolidation initiatives.  • Background in platform modernization or hardware refresh planning. • Familiarity with multicloud or hybrid datacenter environments.
