**About the Role:**
The individuals performing services will report directly to the client Data Center Services (DCS) Engineer. Initial training will be provided by the DCS Engineers but it is expected that the selected rm will manage subsequent training for new individuals. This service is not intended to take the place of the responsibilities of the Engineer of Record for the projects and there are no requirements for providing PE stamped or sealed documents while performing the services outlined below. Though the experience and the background of Professional Engineers to perform these services are preferred. The engineering resources will follow the Owner’s specifications, standards for quality, and commissioning methodology.
+ Location of project(s): Charleston Metro Area to include Moncks Corner, Summerville, and St. George.
+ On-site presence 5 days per week
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Be a mechanical technical resource for Owner’s local Project Managers, installing contractors, mechanical vendors and QA/QC providers for issue resolution.
+ Perform hands-on troubleshooting, identify repair plans, and participate in critical commissioning of mechanical equipment such as the process water systems, critical cooling air handlers, fuel oil systems and any first of a kind (FOAK) equipment c
+ Review and comment on the preliminary and nal TAB reports verifying system performances match the drawing and the specifications.
+ Verify device installation matches approved coordination during eld walks. Identify equipment and valve access or operation conflicts with other trades.
+ Review all fuel deliveries bills of lading (BOL) and fuel testing results prior to introduction into the generator fuel system to ensure it meets Owner’s specifications.
+ Identify items required to incorporate temporary services and flushing plans. g. Review and comment on mechanical equipment and ductwork protection plans provided by others.
+ Review eld procedures, progress and results of ushing plans (PCW, Chilled Water, FO, etc) to ensure systems are being cleaned according to the approved plan.
+ Reviews are to include setup of ushing equipment, temporary piping configuration, permanent piping and valve arrangements.
+ Provide periodical eld review of the execution of mechanical and ductwork protection plans to ensure the procedures are being followed.
+ Review ductwork pressure testing results to verify duct leakage and pressure class meets the drawings and specifications.
Administrative Services (25% effort)
+ Participate in commissioning meetings
+ Understand single line diagrams, sequence of operations and operational considerations to avoid conflicts with operations or downstream efforts.
+ Provide input on program and site specific requirements to subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with requirements.
+ Submittal Reviews.
+ Review internal Engineering Bulletins for possible implementation on the local projects.
+ Work with GC and subs to ensure the progress of the pre-fabricated modular assemblies and technical systems like the BMS, PMS, etc. are progressing to meet milestones.
Site Inspections (75% effort)
+ First of a Kind installation reviews
+ On site review of installation for compliance with site requirements and Operational sta expectations.
+ Set the standard for future installations to be best in class.
+ Commissioning Support
+ Cover non-critical system checks. It should be noted that a Commissioning rm is under contract to establish and manage scripts and that the expectation for this scope is observation and support only.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ Preferred 10 yrs relevant experience for engineering support role
+ Minimum 4 years experience with eld engineering / mission critical construction
+ Solid construction background
+ Strong communication skills
