Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Design Services Team in supporting the development of next-generation data centers. This contract role focuses on delivering high-performance mechanical design solutions for hyperscale infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical system design, strong proficiency in Revit for 3D modeling, and experience in designing mechanical control systems for large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
+ Develop mechanical design solutions for hyperscale infrastructure projects.
+ Utilize Revit for 3D modeling in large envelope projects.
+ Design mechanical control systems for large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.
+ Work on models focusing on maintaining optimal environmental systems for data centers.
+ Design controls systems to monitor and alert for environmental issues, such as temperature control and power distribution levels.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of mechanical design experience using Revit.
+ Experience with large mission-critical industries such as Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, or Oil & Gas.
+ Proficiency in designing mechanical control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience with the design of Data Centers, Mission Critical Facilities, Hospitals, Schools, or highly complex Commercial Towers.
+ Ability to evaluate the constructability of new technologies and determine construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.
+ Experience in performing and presenting business case analyses.
+ Creative problem-solving skills to find innovative solutions during the construction process.
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, with the option for candidates to work in the office if they prefer. The role offers a minimum 12-month duration with the possibility of extension to a full 24 months.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
