Data Architect – Analytics & BI Platforms
Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Senior Data Architect to join its Analytics team and contribute to the design and evolution of high-impact data solutions.

In this key role, you will be at the center of complex analytics initiatives, designing modern, scalable, and robust data architectures that enable organizations to leverage data as a strategic asset for performance, innovation, and decision-making.

You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, closely interacting with data engineering, advanced analytics, governance teams, and business stakeholders.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Define, maintain, and evolve enterprise-level data models in collaboration with business, data governance, and engineering teams
• Capture and analyze business requirements to design relational, dimensional, or Data Vault data models supporting a variety of analytical use cases
• Review, optimize, and align data models proposed by data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to ensure consistency with the overall architecture
• Define and implement architectural components ensuring data availability, quality, security, and accessibility
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and applicable regulatory and governance requirements
• Continuously improve BI platform architecture, from raw data ingestion to consumption and visualization layers
• Act as a technical leader, defining best practices and promoting innovative, forward-thinking approaches
• Present architectural recommendations and strategic orientations to executive-level stakeholders

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong, demonstrated experience in data modeling, including:
o Relational models
o Dimensional models
o (Data Vault – an asset)
• Experience working in complex, large-scale data environments
• Strong collaboration skills, open-mindedness, and ability to challenge and evolve proposed approaches
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to build action plans and manage competing priorities
• Strong interest in emerging technologies and continuous improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Experience with SAP is considered an asset

Language Requirements
Proficiency in French is required, as this position is based in Quebec and involves regular interaction with local teams, in accordance with the Charter of the French Language.
Proficiency in English is also required to effectively collaborate with clients, partners, and teams located outside Quebec.

Compensation
CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position.
This range is determined based on several factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses or certifications. Compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $155,000.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
