The $5 billion Legacy business at Everest requires active, forward‑looking discipline focused on resolving legacy liabilities and unlocking capital for the company’s future growth. You’ll play a direct role in reducing volatility, strengthening market credibility, and accelerating strategic value creation across the Group. You’ll work closely with claims, actuarial, finance, reinsurance, technology, and operations – building a uniquely broad and influential skill-set.

Position Summary

The Data and Insights Lead has a passion for analyzing complex data, identifying insights, answering pressing questions, and articulating the story in the data clearly. Reporting to the CEO, Legacy Operations, you will play a crucial role in this newly established business, providing the fact base for prioritization, intervention, results tracking and capital releases.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain the run-off dashboard, QBR pack and any special cuts for the CEO, Board, and Senior Leadership team

Produce monthly trend and diagnostic packs

Run ad hoc analyses as needed to target deterioration, hotspots, and special opportunities

Work with liability portfolio manager and claims teams to slice and dice portfolio at highly granular level to target areas for acceleration and special solutions

Deliver data for targeted actions and any externally contemplated deals

Interpret and verify data accuracy and integrity when sourcing data from a variety of underlying platforms to drive improved insights and reporting

Analyze industry data from 3rd party, peers, and other macroeconomic trends to develop enhanced business insight

Visualize and develop solutions (dashboards, scorecards, analytic reports) to highlight trends and anomalies in data.

Tell the story by contextualizing the reports with automated insights in form of narratives and observations

Collaborate with IT, Claims and Business Analytics, Collections and Ceded Reinsurance for data sourcing and enterprise analytics, and convert the data into management insights specific to run-off

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree with focus on Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or other related fields of study

Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 4 years of relevant experience in Insurance industry and having a good understanding of financials and operational metrics

Proficiency in maximizing the power of dashboarding and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize data, identify and highlight trends, assess business impacts, and make recommendations for improvement

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make solid recommendations

Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience

Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with cross-functional teams

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
