About the Role

Our client, a Global Consumer Health Leader, is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Manager (Commercial) to support the West & Central Africa cluster. This role is responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and transforming commercial data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decision‑making.

You will build and manage systems that track distributor performance, sales KPIs, field force execution, and market dynamics across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data‑driven decision‑making, commercial excellence, and optimized visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Consolidation & Management

• Collect, clean, and validate sales and stock data from local distributors
• Build and maintain a central, multi‑country performance database
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all markets

2. Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Design automated dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) for:
– Sales by Country / Distributor / Channel / Product
– Field Force Coverage & Execution KPIs
– Trade Promotion & Go‑To‑Market (GTM) activities
• Identify performance gaps and recommend corrective actions
• Standardize weekly and monthly reporting for Cluster Sales Manager & ComEx Lead

3. Business Insights & Analytics

• Generate insights on market trends, pricing, distribution, and competitive dynamics
• Support commercial forecasting and scenario planning
• Build downstream predictive models to anticipate risks (e.g., OOS, sales shortfalls)

4. Systems & Tools Development

• Lead the design and enhancement of commercial data systems
• Integrate multisource datasets (Distributors, IMS, Field Apps)
• Train local teams and distributors on reporting systems and KPIs

5. Business Partnering

• Align KPIs with Sales Managers, Field Force, and Distributors
• Provide fact‑based insights to support business reviews
• Partner with Marketing to assess GTM initiatives and impact

Ideal Candidate Profile

Must Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Sales Operations
• Proven experience in FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical sectors
• Strong understanding of distributor data structures and sales reporting
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel
• SQL or Python/R experience is a strong advantage
