Role Summary:
The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and interpreting data to support business decisions. This role identifies trends, builds reports, and provides insights that help improve processes and strategy. The Data Analyst works closely with cross‑functional teams to understand data needs, ensure data accuracy, and deliver clear, actionable findings. Proficiency in analytical tools and strong problem‑solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Maintaining highly effective relationships with internal and external business partners as part of the enterprise data strategy and governance initiative.
Execution and coordination of creating standardized mapping templates and design format files to extract and harmonize/standardize data from source systems.
Coordination of data harmonization across different business applications and/or correction of data definitions, master data, list of values, business process or procedural changes to harmonize the data in the source systems.
Working with IT to establish the data extraction, staging, mapping/harmonization rules, data structures and dashboards to support the curated data warehouse as well as making the appropriate changes to the source systems to standardize the extraction going forward.
Coordination of documenting all the steps of the functional and technical actions taken to extract, harmonize, standardize the data. This includes data lineage, meta data management; data catalog, business, functional and technical design documentation and all testing and sign off documentation to provide the evidence for a proper executed project and data governance process.
Coordination or perform development and maintenance of analytics dashboards as proof of concept and final usage from the curated data warehouse and working with the business (Data governance and data steward council) to define and establish standardized publishing methods, formats and reporting services.
Maintaining, testing and improving business and systems operations once brought to production and in normal operations.
Acting as a liaison between business and IT groups.
30-40% international travel is required in this role.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, business analytics or operational research and 5-7 years of work experience in Data Analytics and Process Design in fields such as Logistics, Supply Chain, Materials, Finance, IT, Data or Industrial Manufacturing environments where you attained:
Affinity with ERP and other IT Systems (Oracle, SAP, BPC, PowerBI, MS Office).
Power BI development is an essential skill for this role. Strong SQL skills, knowledge of relational databases Experience and scripting languages, knowledge of ETL processes and proficiency with other business intelligence tools is a pre.
The ability to handle multiple projects or project tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to create roadmaps and perform project management activities.
Strong organizational, time management, and presentation skills
Effective communications with all levels in the organization.
Ability to map current and future desired state for IT and Operational processes.
Fluent oral and written English. Other languages are a pre.
