Our work depends on a Data Analyst joining our team to develop customer reports and dashboards, perform deep dive analytics, support testing databases and data integration solutions, and deliver customer solutions.

The TSS Data and Analytics team uses a variety of tools including Azure and Azure DevOps, AWS, and Power BI. The Power BI dashboards provide performance, operational, and management-level dashboards to customers, allowing them to manage risk and provide the essential reporting.

This work will be a hybrid opportunity in Bossier City, Louisiana.

As a Data Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:

Conduct market research and define industry best practices for decision-makingCreating, refining, and delivering reports and dashboards for executives, management, and technician-level usageExecute extract, transform, and load (ETL) functions along with maintaining and analyzing database tables and viewsDevelop and maintain Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts to support business data analysis and reportingUtilize Power BI, excel, and/or other business intelligence toolsProvide data analytics and key insightsHighlight and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance across different sectionsCollaborate with a team of developers, analysts, and engineers to determine feature requests, priorities, dashboards, and solutionsComposing user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and retrospectives to improve Agile development processesPerforming Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new features to ensure that requirements are met, and the resulting user experience works as intendedParticipating in and supporting user acceptance testing and the deployment of the solution to productionPreparing and conducting presentations and training materialsCreating and maintaining documentationCollaborate with a team of developers, analysts, and engineers to deliver on-time Agile sprint releases

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Data Analyst must have:

Education:  BA/BS (or equivalent years of experience)

Required Experience:  2+ years of experience

Required Clearance: Must possess an active Secret clearance

Required Technical Skill: SQL, Power BI or related business intelligence tools/practices, Excel, Power Query

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong SQL background, familiarity with database ETL functionsStrong Excel background; familiarity with other Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence toolsAbility to effectively manage multiple competing prioritiesGood team player, able to manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing client needsOutstanding communication skills with the ability to present to business leadersStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and part of a team

Preferred Skills: 

Experience with reporting via ServiceNow, Remedy, BMC Helix, CUIC, VerintKnowledge of ITIL frameworkKnowledge of Agile methodology
