How you will contribute

The BI Developer/Analyst plays a key role in the hands-on enhancement and sustainment of dashboards and reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making throughout MDLZ Supply Chain. This position directly supports our stakeholders by continuously improving the BI Reports, driving adoption, and leveraging data and analytics expertise to support quick wins. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, learning new technologies, and collaborating across teams. 
 
How you will contribute: 

Requirements Gathering & Collaboration 

Establish regular cadences with Super Users and User Representatives in order to keep a pulse on changing user requirements and become a true stakeholder advocate 

Partner with Product Owners and Program Managers to translate enhancement requests into User Stories 

Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables, and timelines leveraging Azure DevOps Sprints, Acceptance Criteria, and Story Points 

Dashboard & Report Development 

Support business leaders with quick wins by leveraging data & analytics expertise and by building proof of concept solutions 

Support test and learns and iterative development based on user feedback and evolving requirements 

Develop enhancements and new BI reports with existing Semantic Models, leveraging basic DAX and complex visualization tools 

Testing & Quality Assurance 

Ensure alignment of BI reports with industry best practices, documented KPI definitions, and SCI reporting templates 

Validate data accuracy, consistency, and performance 

Conduct peer reviews to identify and resolve data or visualization issues in collaboration with senior developers 

Deployment & Documentation 

Creating and maintaining documentation of data sources, models, reports, KPI calculations, business logic, and user guides 

Support & Optimization 

Respond to user questions, access requests, and performance concerns post-deployment 

Manage manually-generated reporting and actively identify opportunities for streamlining, decommissioning, and/or automation 

Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the clarity and usability of reporting tools 

Partner with sustainment team to communicate issues, support bug resolution, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement 

Insights & Intelligence 

Partner with business users to generate intelligence and insights, using data, operational systems, reporting tools, and general analytical capabilities 

Collaborate with business users to understand the strategy and empower them to challenge the status quo and assumptions with the support of data and critical insights

Execute the business analytics agenda in conjunction with analytics team leadersWork with best-in-class external partners who leverage analytics tools and processesUse models/algorithms to uncover signals/patterns and trends to drive long-term business performanceExecute the business analytics agenda using a methodical approach that conveys to stakeholders what business analytics will deliver

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field preferred 

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in BI development or related analytics work; courses, internships or academic projects related to change management are a plus 

Prior experience in Supply Chain, Operations or Manufacturing and/or knowledge of Supply Chain concepts is preferred 

Familiarity with Excel, Quickbase, Tableau, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service, including basic data modeling concepts and DAX formulas 

Understanding of visualization best practices and UI/UX for dashboards 

Strong collaboration and communication skills 

Openness to feedback and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment 

Able to work effectively with business users and stakeholders at all levels of the organization 

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting 

 

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor's degree is required

Remote Position typically 8a-5p EST

Salary and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $77,600 to $106,700; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
