**Description**
SAIC is looking for a **Data Analysis and Battery Testing Electrical Engineer** to support the US Navy in **Crane, IN.**
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Support airborne lot testing and space applications, including programming files and assisting with vibration testing
+ Become proficient in battery test methods, including monitoring points, switching, circuit protections, wattage management, and time correlation
+ Apply practical physicist application focus to engineering tasks, avoiding theoretical approaches
+ Conduct Big Data analysis to obtain predictive analysis, identify indicators of known and emerging failure modes, and better predict end-of-life characteristics of lithium-ion aircraft and space cells/batteries, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of various battery chemistries
+ Assist other analysts in utilizing analytic platforms as needed
+ Present findings, approaches, and processes to team members
**Qualifications**
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 2 or more years of experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 0 years of experience
+ Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel; able to work independently and as part of a team
+ Interim Secret clearance required to start, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the process
+ US Citizenship
**DESIRED EXPERIENCE:**
+ Proficiency in LabView, MatLab, and C++ Prior experience supporting DoD and/or NSWC Crane
+ Strong Computer Science skills to develop and maintain data pipelines using Power BI, R, Python, SQL, etc., and implement quality control checks
+ Experience with GitHub and Microsoft DevOps for version control of code
+ Ability to apply practical physicist and electrical engineering skills to testing tasks
