Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

Join our interdisciplinary team as a Systems Engineer, where you will develop innovative solutions to advanced technical problems. Contribute to the development of Radar Performance Algorithms, System Concept of Operations, Mission and Mode Development, and more. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance radar system operational performance.

Responsibilities

Support the development and integration of radar algorithms to meet system mission and mode performance objectives.Develop requirements, analyze them, and plan implementation for translating system requirements into algorithm design.Perform functional and performance analyses.Develop mathematical algorithms for mode/sensor implementation.Plan software integration for system algorithms to model behavior of systems in real-time for radar platforms.Solicit input from stakeholders, synthesize data, and communicate results to various levels of leadership.Perform mission engineering activities to ensure continuity between desired operational capabilities and delivered system performance.Guide the team through development and implementation activities.

Essential Skills

Active Secret clearance at the time of application.Expertise with MATLAB and code prototyping.Experience with the Systems Engineering lifecycle process for system development.Experience with Signals processing and Radar Systems.Familiarity with radar Blake Charts for operational performance analysis.Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc).Proficiency in SharePoint and MS Office tool suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to project plan and execute independently.Ability to plan, organize, and work in cross-functional teams with a customer focus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance at the time of application with SCI eligibility.Experience with Python, C/C++, or related programming languages.Familiarity with Agile methodology (Kanban, Scrum, etc.).Experience with requirement derivation and decomposition for system design implementation.Expertise in algorithm development.

Work Environment

Work on-site Monday through Thursday near Colorado Springs airport, with Fridays working from home. Enjoy a 9/80 schedule, providing flexibility and work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $145000.00/hr.
