Job Summary:
A kind, relaxed and family-oriented household in Chelsea is seeking a professional, experienced and nurturing Daily Nanny to care for their 18-month-old son, with a newborn due in May. This is a sole and shared care position, working alongside hands-on parents and existing household staff.
Initially, the role will focus primarily on the toddler, with a maternity nurse supporting the newborn. Following this period, the nanny will transition into caring for both children, supporting their routines, development and daily wellbeing. The family are looking for a career nanny who can build a long-term relationship with the children and become a valued part of the household.
Job specification:
Monday to Friday, 7:00am-7:00pm Providing attentive sole care for the 18-month-old toddler full time, then transition into care of both toddler and baby when the maternity nurse leaves after 8 months. Supporting all aspects of the children’s daily routines including feeding, naps, dressing and hygiene Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities including baby and toddler classes, outdoor play, walks, swimming, sensory play, reading, arts & crafts and developmental play Supporting early learning, development and milestones, encouraging language, social skills, manners and independence Preparing and cooking nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for the children Child-related housekeeping including laundry, toy organisation, wardrobe management and maintaining tidy play areas Supporting structured routines and maintaining a calm, consistent environment Working collaboratively with parents and other household staff Travel with the family & occasional babysitting if required
Candidate specification:
Experienced career nanny with strong experience caring for toddlers and young babies within private households Excellent knowledge of early childhood development and milestones Confident caring for multiple young children Professional, reliable, discreet and respectful Warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about childcare Active, engaging and enjoys spending time outdoors with children Self-motivated and proactive, able to take initiative Strong communication skills and able to work well within a staffed household Flexible and happy to travel Looking for a long-term position and able to grow with the family
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
