Job Summary:
A wonderful family based in Notting Hill are looking for an experience Housekeeper / Nanny to join their family. This position supports a growing family with a toddler and a newborn due, combining high-standard housekeeping with both sole and shared childcare.
The role involves managing all household tasks independently, including laundry and wardrobe care, maintaining immaculate living spaces, running errands, and preparing light family meals. Childcare responsibilities include nursery runs, creating structure and routine, organising daily activities, preparing meals, and keeping the toddler engaged and social. When the newborn arrives, the role will include mother’s-help support.
The family is seeking someone proactive, experienced and dependable who can maintain exceptional standards without direction, integrate naturally into the household, and travel with them on occasion. The ideal candidate will be warm, professional and maternal, confident with both toddlers and newborns, calm yet engaging, and committed to becoming a long-term part of the family.
Job specification: Take full responsibility for laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, bed linens, and all general housekeeping duties Carry out occasional grocery shopping as needed Prepare light family meals when time allows, with no specific dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all shared spaces, including bathrooms, kitchen and living areas Manage daily household routines, prioritise tasks effectively, run errands and support smooth day-to-day operations Handle nursery drop-off and pick-up reliably and on schedule Maintain structure, routines and clear boundaries throughout the child’s daily activities Keep the child engaged through age-appropriate play, activities, reading, outings, parks and playdates Prepare and cook snacks and meals for the child Provide supportive “mother’s help” assistance when the newborn arrives, helping with daily tasks as needed Travel with the family (On occasion – 2/3 weeks at a time) Candidate specification: Experience in professional housekeeping within a private household Warm, maternal nature paired with a respectful, professional and friendly manner Proactive, takes initiative, manages time effectively and demonstrates strong longevity in roles Skilled at maintaining boundaries, providing appropriate discipline, and creating consistent structure and routine with the children Excellent communication skills with strong English Holds a valid passport and is fully open to travelling with the family Confident in the kitchen and comfortable supporting the family with cooking Discreet, respectful and calm within the home, yet fun, engaging with a firm-but-fair approach Eager to become part of the family and committed to a long-term position Experienced caring for toddlers and support with Newborns Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
