**Job Title: D-Shift Slitter Operator** **Job Description** The D-Shift Slitter Operator is responsible for operating slitter machines during the night shift from 6pm to 6:15am, Wednesday through Friday, and every other Saturday. The role involves reading bills of materials, performing machine set-ups, threading film into the machine, setting blades to the proper width, and programming the machine for length, speed, and tension. The operator will also remove products from the machine, stack them in containers, and prepare them for shipping. **Responsibilities** + Set up the leader table with proper tapes, leaders, and trailers. + Retrieve appropriate cores from inventory. + Perform basic troubleshooting of the machine, including adjusting speed, winding tension, and brake tension. + Recover film breaks by stopping the machine, cutting broken film, and re-threading machines. + Complete quality checks using calipers. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude or experience in machine operation or manufacturing. + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. + Proficiency in performing machine set-up, changeovers, and troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior experience in slitting, roll-to-roll conversion, paper cutting, labeling, or film handling is highly advantageous. + Familiarity with converting lines that complete paper cutting is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** Employees enjoy various appreciation events such as pizza parties and popcorn Thursdays, fostering a fun and engaging workplace.
