About the Team:

Our Access Operations team, part of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) organization within the Chief Security Organization, is seeking an experienced professional to define, drive, and execute enterprise-wide access management practices. This individual contributor role requires someone with a proven track record of implementing access operations strategies in large organizations. You'll work closely with a global team and multiple stakeholders to improve security processes while ensuring business efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of experience and demonstrated success in establishing and operationalizing best practices at scale.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Champion access operations excellence by identifying, recommending, and implementing industry-leading best practices that transform how access management functions across the enterprise

Drive innovation in access lifecycle processes, turning complex challenges into streamlined solutions that enhance security without hindering business velocity

Serve as the go-to expert for access operations strategy, bringing fresh perspectives and proven methodologies to elevate team performance and operational maturity

Build partnerships across the organization to create a cohesive access operations framework that scales business growth

Lead by influence to implement cutting-edge automation and optimization initiatives that reduce manual effort while increasing security effectiveness

Shape the future of access operations by developing forward-thinking procedures that anticipate tomorrow's security challenges

Transform operational data into actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and demonstrate business value

Mentor team members on emerging access management trends and best practices to foster a culture of excellence

Navigate complex stakeholder environments to deliver solutions that balance security requirements with user experience

Pioneer new approaches to access management that set industry standards for efficiency and effectiveness

Collaborate effectively with our global team in India, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and the ability to work seamlessly across time zones to ensure 24/7 operational coverage and knowledge sharing

Qualifications:

8+ years of hands-on experience revolutionizing access operations in large, complex enterprises

Proven track record of translating access management theory into practical, scalable solutions

Deep expertise in modern access operations methodologies with a passion for innovation and efficiency

Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in current practices and architect solutions that become organizational standards

Experience influencing without authority to drive adoption of best practices across diverse teams

Strong foundation in IAM technologies with the agility to adapt to evolving platforms and tools

Natural problem-solver who thrives on turning operational challenges into opportunities for improvement

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences

Self-motivated individual who can work independently while fostering strong team collaboration

Partner and collaborate with international and diverse teams to ensure seamless day-to-day business operations, effective handovers, and foster a unified team culture.

History of successfully implementing access operations frameworks in large companies

Background in developing metrics that tell compelling stories about operational success

Relevant certifications such as CIAM, CISA, ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent preferred. 

Experience: Typically requires 12 years’ experience.

Our Lead Cybersecurity earns between $128,400.00 - $192,600.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
