Responsibilities

Arcfield is expanding its Cyber initiative and seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer, IV in support of Data Science to help apply data science techniques to cybersecurity solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to provide data management and analysis to assist in recommending changes to the Government that can improve operational effectiveness and support decision making. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to help shape Arcfield's cyber defense strategies and contribute to our expanding portfolio of cyber programs. Note: An offer for this position is contingent upon contract award.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Extract, transform, load, analyze, and interpret relevant information assurance (IA) dataProvide reports on patterns, anomalies, and potential security concernsSupport machine learning and statistical approaches for cybersecurityCreate data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations to communicate cybersecurity recommendationsConduct and support data engineering and data management tasksSelect and implement appropriate analytical approaches for automationReview and define requirements for data science cybersecurity approachesUtilize tools such as AWS, Spark, Kafka, Tableau, Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch), R (tidyverse, RShiny), and SplunkProvide Agile process support with projects management (Scrum, Jira, Confluence)Analyze historical data to gain insights and understand patterns in cybersecurity contextsConduct predictive analytics to forecast future outcomes and recommend optimal actionsIntegrate analytic findings into other cybersecurity products and processes, including Continuous MonitoringResearch emerging data science methodologies and technologies for cybersecurity applicationsAssist in creating, editing, and managing data sources and ensuring data accuracyArchive information within data sourcesEstablish frameworks for measuring and quantifying cyber riskMaintain security compliance with standards, policies, and proceduresSupport incident response analysesSupport cybersecurity training programSupport the integration of DoD IA architectures and systemsWork with large language models (LLMs) and apply machine learning principles, techniques, and technologiesCollaborate with stakeholders to receive feedback and guide future workPresent information and recommendations to decision-makers and warfighters
Qualifications

Required

Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with PolyBS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-55 years’ relevant experience in data science, mathematics, statistics, business analytics or equivalent quantitative fieldWorking knowledge of data visualizations, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning principles, techniques, and technologiesDemonstrated ability to review and refine requirements for data science cybersecurity approaches Understanding of machine learning principles, techniques, and technologies Knowledge of data engineeringDemonstrated knowledge of data management Familiar with Agile processes (Scrum, Jira, Confluence)Working knowledge of data visualizations, large language models (LLMs), and machine learning principles, techniques, and technologiesExperience with tools such as AWS, Spark, Kafka, Tableau, Python (e.g., TensorFlow and PyTorch), R (e.g., tidyverse, RShiny), Splunk, or equivalentFamiliar with statistical methods, predictive modeling, machine learning, deep learning, data visualizations, and data managementAbility to interact regularly with customers and present information to decision-makers
