Cyber Learning, Performance & Training Consultant

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Global Cybersecurity Services (GCS) team within Aon’s Aon Business Solutions (ABS) division. This role will be key in developing and executing a cybersecurity learning and training strategy across Aon’s global enterprise.
This role can be virtual, near any of our US offices.

What the day will look like
+ Serve as a strategic consultant to Aon’s Head of Cyber Risk & Business Management, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), regional and country Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Operations Officers (COOs), along with supporting our technology application owners and business colleagues, in identifying learning and performance needs related to both cybersecurity controls and initiatives in line with business priorities.
+ Design and deliver targeted Cyber focused learning experiences that improve adoption, proficiency, and confidence with new tools, platforms and processes.
+ Act as a trusted cybersecurity enablement partner, translating technical and cyber capabilities into practical solutions that enhance the overall colleague experience.
+ Collaborate with regional IT and business units, vendor partners, internal service areas, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and teams to ensure technology rollouts are supported with clear communication training and performance support
+ Partner with Legal, Compliance and risk leaders to design required training programs within regulatory standards and requirements
+ Support the development and execution of Aon’s Security Awareness Program, which includes but is not limited to our Phishing Simulation, Annual Security Awareness Training (SAT) and IT application owner cyber control education curriculum development.
+ Support the investment decisioning around third party training offerings and develop and implement strategies to ensure adoption of those offerings are within healthy tolerance levels.
+ Work through complexities surrounding business acquisitions and ensuring training and education programs are rightsized to meet Aon’s overall program strategy.
+ Lead complex learning and enablement projects, managing stakeholder expectations, timelines, scope and outcomes across multiple initiatives.
+ Support change management efforts by creating just-in-time training resources and user documentation aligned with colleague workflows and behaviors.
+ Mentor peers and training partners on instructional design methods, learning tech platforms, and performance consulting techniques.
+ Leverage the Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital tools to deliver, measure, and continuously improve training outcomes.
+ Influence cross-functional strategies by representing the voice of the customer and aligning enablement efforts with ABS direction.

The Cyber Learning, Performance & Training Consultant plays a crucial role in not only managing GCS’s internal digital presence but also building and enhancing our security training programs strategically to support cyber resiliency across an array of diverse stakeholders. You will be responsible for leading the strategy to optimize Aon’s cyber information systems, developing and coordinating training content, and driving security awareness across the firm. Reporting to GCS’s Cyber Portfolio Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee our GCS training and learning program and strategy. You will design and deliver engaging cybersecurity training for technologists and colleagues spanning multiple global regions representing a diverse array of business lines through virtual and in-person medium, as well as self-paced LMS modules. Additionally, in this role, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance GCS solutions and drive tool adoption, enablement and delivery along with driving healthy change management targets.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ The ideal candidate is agile, collaborative, and an exceptional communicator with experience in navigating large and complex organizations that span multiple regions.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and learning platforms like Articulate Storyline.
+ 7+ years of experience in information management and training functions.
+ Strong understanding of security concepts and excellent project management skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with strong communication and attention to detail.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information science, instructional design, or related field

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 - $185,000 USD annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary onus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
