“We’re not in the shipping business; we’re in the information business” -Peter Rose, Expeditors Founder Global supply chain management is what we do, but at the heart of Expeditors you will find professionalism, leadership, and a friendly environment, all of which foster an innovative, customer service-based approach to logistics. + 15,000 trained professionals + 250+ locations worldwide + Fortune 500 + Globally unified systems   Scope of Position: To coordinate the clearance of freight documentation through the relevant customs authorities.  Working with our customers to guide and advise on customs regulation requirements both in the origin and destination countries. **Shift patterns may apply for this role** Major Duties and Responsibilities:  + Coordinate the process customs clearance documentation for our customer base + Deal with the customs authority on a daily basis. + Deliver an excellent customer service to all customers.  + Be the specialist for all customs compliance issues.  Assist in resolving all issues with the customer. + Assist in the review of all policies, procedures and controls put in place.  + Ensure the relevant regulations are in place for all customers/business. + Identify Improvement Opportunities, Risks or IT Solutions which ensures the advancement of compliance and installs control. + Develop & Utilise the Expeditors Network to ensure a uniformed approach throughout the region and exchange best practices. + Work on assigned key account customers to ensure their needs are met + Continue to develop knowledge on customs requirements, ensuring new regulations are understood and implemented where required + Ensure Duty/VAT is processed correctly & collected as required + Ensure any queries/refunds are followed up and resolved immediately + Review,  update & Retain all DLSOP’s.  Ensure they remain updated and implemented efficiently.  Assist Sales & Account Management with cost saving solutions & options. + Complete daily, weekly audits on the all enteries        + Ensure you keep up to date on the latest Customs Regulations updates & changes. + Develop and issue the training of new staff within the dept.  Update all current staff with changes & updates.   Experience and Education: + 1 - 2 years experience within the Customs Industry + Excellent knowledge of Irish customs procedures & systems + Effective interpersonal skills. + Ability to relate to customers and internal employees at all levels + Previous experience with Word, Excel, Windows, Email, various PC based software
