Customer Service RepresentativeJob Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our Collections team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting customers regarding overdue accounts, resolving billing issues, and negotiating payment arrangements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive financial conversations with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Make outbound and receive inbound calls to/from customers regarding past-due accounts.
+ Provide courteous and professional customer service while discussing account status and payment options.
+ Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
+ Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines.
+ Document all customer interactions and update account information accurately.
+ Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure timely follow-up.
+ Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets.
+ Maintain compliance with all company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Previous experience in customer service, collections, or a call center environment is a plus.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
+ Proficient in basic computer applications and CRM systems.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
