Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for answering customer calls promptly and in a friendly and professional manner. You will interface with customers through telephone, electronic communication, or face-to-face interactions. Your role will contribute to increasing sales and profitability by suggesting new and complementary products and participating in sales promotions. You will also optimize fill rates by providing substitutions for out-of-stock or discontinued items and escalate customer information, problems, and requests to the customer service manager when necessary. Additionally, you will handle data entry, processing customer orders in the internal system, perform light filing, reception, and other office management tasks as needed, and field 15-20 customer calls/orders per day.

ResponsibilitiesAnswer customer calls promptly and professionally.Interface with customers by telephone, electronically, or face-to-face.Assist in increasing sales and profitability by suggesting new products and participating in promotions.Optimize fill rates by providing substitutions for out-of-stock items.Escalate customer issues to the customer service manager when necessary.Process customer orders in the internal system.Perform light filing, reception, and other office management tasks.Field process 15-20 customer calls/orders per day.Essential SkillsCustomer service skills.Proficiency in data entry.Experience with inbound call handling.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook.Excellent communication skills.Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.Minimum of 2 years of data entry experience or computer literacy.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Outgoing personality with an eagerness to help others.Work Environment

The position is interim temp with the opportunity to compete for a permanent role. The working hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch, but flexibility for a shorter lunch is available. The role is in-office for 5 days a week. The company maintains a family-oriented atmosphere despite being acquired by a larger company, and the office collaborates with staff, delivery drivers, and customers, many of whom are Spanish-speaking, making bilingual abilities a significant advantage.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
