Customer Service Officer
Job Title: Customer Service OfficerJob Description

The Customer Service Officer supports international export operations by managing sales orders, coordinating shipping and export documentation, and ensuring exceptional customer service for partners across the USA and Canada. This role is critical in maintaining operational accuracy, communication flow, and compliance with export requirements. It requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in high-volume environments, and effective cross-department collaboration within a complex supply chain.

ResponsibilitiesReceive and review sales orders for accuracy, codes, quantities, lead times, and shipping details.Determine correct ports, shipping lines, freight charges, and special requirements.Enter vessel booking details and update SAP with full shipping info.Confirm orders and shipment schedules with customers.Issue Pro-Forma invoices and begin documentation collection.Prepare all draft export documents prior to vessel departure.Ensure compliance with Letters of Credit and update SAP accordingly.Coordinate and secure third-party documentation.Maintain accurate Buyer Profiles.Provide customers with complete documentation packages.Pre-alert customers with finalized document sets.Validate freight invoices and resolve discrepancies quickly.Complete SAP order processes in alignment with freight accruals.Serve as a main point of contact for customers, shipping lines, transport providers, and other stakeholders.Confirm order receipts, shipment details, and documentation requirements.Address product, service, and delivery inquiries.Monitor shipments and proactively communicate issues and solutions.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or higher.Minimum 3 years’ experience in Customer Service or administrative support within an FMCG environment.Strong understanding of general logistics.Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume settings.Experience with export documentation—Letter of Credit experience is crucial.Strong communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree.Broader supply chain or operations experience.SAP experience or ability to learn new systems quickly.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
